Kick Off Your Heels Women's Luncheon

Tuesday, October 31, 2017

Kick off your heels

The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, the PGA TOUR event at TPC Summerlin, will host the 7th annual Kick Off Your Heels luncheon on Tuesday, October 31st in The Hill, the tournament’s hospitality venue overlooking the 16th, 17th and 18th holes. This year, KLAS-TV (CBS) 8 News Now anchor, Denise Valdez will serve as mistress of ceremonies, and Patricia Mulroy, former general manager of Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA), will deliver an inspiring keynote speech.

Mulroy has been a resident of southern Nevada for more than three decades and currently chairs the University of Nevada, Las Vegas College of Sciences Advisory Board and serves as treasurer of the Water Research Foundation Board of Trustees. Additionally, Mulroy is on the board of the National Water Resources Association and is a member of the American Water Works Association.

The event is coordinated by and held for many of the best known and most highly respected women in the city of Las Vegas. Thirty five (35) tables of ten were sold in 2016 to raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children, the host and beneficiary of the week-long professional golf tournament. Since the event's inception in 2011 over $200,000 has been raised to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.  The Kick Off Your Heels planning committee is made up of local Las Vegas women including Tanya Murray, Dulcinea Rongavilla, Jen Merchant, Priscilla Drozd and Terri Maruca.

Every woman knows about swollen feet after attending an event in high heels. That’s why at the golf course we have made this unique fundraising event heel-free. Women are encouraged to wear their favorite flats and relax and enjoy the casual and scenic beauty of TPC Summerlin at the Kick Off Your Heels Luncheon.

Tables for the Kick Off Your Heels Luncheon are available for purchase by contacting Corinne Spitzer at cspitzer@shrinershospitalsopen.com.  Early reservations are encouraged as space is limited.
