Top Reasons to Attend Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Celebration of National Golf Month

August 15, 2018 – Las Vegas – In honor of National Golf Month in August, Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is celebrating with the top five reasons to attend this year’s tournament at TPC Summerlin, Oct. 30 – Nov. 5.

  1. The Hill, brought to you by Casamigos Tequila

    This vast, 10,000 square-foot pavilion offers guests unbeatable views of the final 16th, 17th and 18th holes of the course. The Hill provides comfortable seating areas with numerous televisions throughout the venue and will feature food and beverages from Red Rock Resort’s favorite restaurants.   2. Free tickets to students, faculty, staff and alumni of UNLV

    UNLV students, faculty, staff and alumni can receive free tickets to the tournament grounds with valid UNLV student, faculty/staff or alumni ID. To redeem, fans must show email offer or valid ID at the tournament ticket trailer at TPC Summerlin’s main entrance.

  3. Patriots’ Outpost presented by U.S. Bank

    Police, fire, EMT, and active and retired military personnel will receive complimentary entrance to the 2018 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. In addition, they will have access to the exclusive Patriots’ Outpost presented by U.S. Bank during tournament play, Nov. 1 – Nov. 4. First responders, military personnel and their families can enjoy complimentary food and beverages during Military Appreciation Day, Friday, November 2. The 2018 Patriots’ Outpost will feature a new location and can be found on #16 Green.

  4. Wednesday, Oct. 31 – Championship Pro Am presented by Red Rock Resort and Spa

    The top 36 PGA TOUR golfers participating in the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open will join amateurs as they take on the masterfully designed TPC Summerlin during the Championship Pro Am presented by Red Rock Resort and Spa. Tee times and professional match-ups are decided by participants at the Pro Am Pairings Party. More information

  5. Volunteer Opportunities

    Volunteer opportunities during the tournament include standard bearers, caddie services, admissions, walking scorers, shotlink operators and many more. Experience in golf and knowledge of the game is not required. New and returning volunteers will receive an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party, a week-long tournament access badge, a commemorative gift, meals during shifts and a uniform including a tournament golf shirt, jacket and hat.

    Volunteer registration is $75. This fee accounts for the accommodations volunteers enjoy while participating in the event. Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is operated as a 501(c)3 charity and every available dollar is dedicated to the mission of raising awareness and money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
